Dr. John Maher has been the trusted ophthalmologist for my mom, as well as my uncles and aunt. I never expected that one day I would also be transporting one of my gurney patients to his office. Dr. Maher is truly one of the kindest and most thorough ophthalmologists in Torrance. His staff is exceptional—professional, well-trained, and always attentive to patients’ needs. Dear Mr Lu, My records do not show you as a patient, at least for the last 18 years. Thank you John Maher Dear Mr Hutton, I am sorry for your troubles. The intraocular lens could easily be removed, but it is not the problem. The blurry vision is from a preexisting injury that resulted in astigmatism that I attempted to correct with a laser, but failed. The astigmatism causing the blurriness is coming from the cornea, which is the outer layer of the eye. A corneal lasik procedure to eliminate the astigmatism could be done. La... read more
Great doctor! Great office sraff!! Had cataract surgery on right eye. So far so good. Follow-ups were pleasant. He makes sure he is available if you have an problems or need anything.
CAUTION! I have never filed a review in my life but have to warn other about this eye doctor. I went in for a minor cataract surgery and when he was done. He caused me to lose my vision in my right eye because he inserted the wrong lens that once inserted can't be removed. I should have sued him but after reading what I had to sign before the surgery realized the form, I signed covers him and not me. WARNING!!!
