A neighborhood pub always filled with locals, Joe Jost's is an old-school diner that has been around since 1924. It is truly a local landmark that is mostly known for its devilishly delicious pickled eggs. In fact, these eggs are so popular, the restaurant decided to sell its dry-mix to make at home for those who cannot visit Long Beach. Additionally, Joe's has functioned as a pool hall for nearly a century as well, so when you are done with dinner, don't forget to hit the old snooker table before you go.

Always awesome! Beer only and cash only, so come prepared.
I’m 58 years old, born in Long Beach. My grandfather worked in the oilfield as a pipe welder and drank beer here when he was a young man. My dad, who’s 82, had his first legal beer here when he turned 21. I had my first legal beer here with my dad when I turned 21. My adult daughters have drank beer here with me. It’s that kind of a joint, a special place, a rite of passage. It has changed very little over the years, with the exception of them serving Busch beer as their low-cost brew instead of Pabst (which is a bummer). Th... read more
We had our grandpas 80th surprise party here and it couldn’t have turned out better!! The staff was great to work with and attentive. Thank you for helping make his day amazing!
Always welcome at this place! Only thing bad I can say is that they just don’t have enough seating! Great times always!
Both the beer and the food are always good and there always is fun in the air.
What can you say. It never changes and charming as usual. Their red ale is a must!!!!!
Always love to come back when I come home. I can't wait to be here again soon.
