We arrived an hour early for the Trans Siberian Orchestra concert to spend 1.5 hours looking for parking only to be told that there wasn’t any because they had bikes 2 events at once. We were then told to try a different lot but when we got over there that one was completely blocked off. Very disappointed!!! The timing was terrible, TSO concert & AZ Cardinals game at the same time? What terrible planning, the traffic to the concert was terrible causing a lot of people to be an hour to two hours late to the concert
Traffic getting to Gila River Arena is ridiculous. I planned to arrive early for Trans-Siberian Orchestra, but instead was stuck in traffic for over an hour and missed the first 40 minutes of the show, and that was only after some fellow frustrated concert-goers and I jumped a curb and parked in a dirt lot and walked to the arena. I have been attending events at the Gila River Arena since it first opened. Yesterday I had tickets to the 3:30pm Trans-Siberian Orchestra concert. Arrived in the vicinity at 2:15pm, only to sit in traffic for parking for over 1.5 hours!!! We ended up missing the first 35 minutes of the concert, which is completely unacceptable! Yesterday was an utter disappointment. Shame on you Gila River Arena. The parking and traffic situation was by far the worst organized I've ever seen. You owe the ticket holders (those who were lucky to see even a portion of the TSO concert) a HUGE apology. There is no reason locals should spend 2.5 hrs in traffic around the arena for a scheduled event. Unacceptable.
Been coming here since they opened - but this was by far and away the worst experience ever. We arrived 90 minutes early - yet took us 2 hours to even park because whatever group they have running that fiasco is completely incompetent. Sent us 2 times to "full" lots only to shake their heads and say they have no clue. Plan to arrive 2.5 hours before if you want to able to park. Arrived 50 mins before event. No parking. No officers directing traffic, 100’s of cars trying to get in and nothing’s moving. 101 was backed up 2 miles at Glendale exit. Went to Northern and came back down 91st. Where is your staff?
