Extremly Enjoyable!!! – I've been to many Thai Restaurants in San Francisco and Jitlada is the best so far. The waitress there are very friendly and attentive. All the dishes they served were fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. Will always return there whenever I crave Thai food.
Warm, Wonderful & Delicious! – Since we discovered Jitlada years ago we have strayed once or twice and always regretted it! You just can't improve on perfection! Chef Pai has created a lovely oasis full of delicious aroma and incredible flavor...and we thank Her so much. We once ended up with 16 guests...I called ahead...we were seated promptly, served beautifully and Pai ended up with 16 repeat customers/fans. My nephew of 3 years was charmed by the Dancing Prawns and managed to finish one! We have tried the entire menu ove... read more
User review by elizabethi – Some unusual and very delicious dishes are served by the charming Chef Pai. This is a restaurant of astonishing creativity and attention to detail. It far outshines the competition in town. Recommend the stuffed eggplant appetizer, ginger shrimp spring rolls, pumpkin curry, and red curry, with the mango/sticky rice dessert. All washed down with Thai beer. A perfect experience!
Enjoyed It!!!! – Great food, excellent service, great price!! I found it on City Search and decided to give it a try because of the high rating. Bullseye!. I was pleasingly surprised. Its a quaint, cozy, clean setting. Nice place for a date, or dinner with a friend. I enjoyed a crabcake appetizer that was different and delicious. The presentation of the everything we ordered made our mouths water before we even tasted it. No dissappointments. Enjoyed it!!!
Go Here Now – Jitlada is the best kept Thai secret this side of the Pacific. It is at least twice as good as Thep Phenom with no wait. The only weird thing is that this Thai place is in Japantown. If you have one night in SF - you should treat yourself to Jitlada - honestly.
What a delicious place for Thai food. The service was very friendly and efficient. Each dish had clean and simple flavors. Really how could you go wrong with a restaurant that names one of its appetizers Shrimp in Sleeping Bags! Oh so yummy!
best thai in town – This is one of the best thai restaurants that I have been to. The food is amazing, friendly service, beautiful presentation and the prices are good. The cook, Pai is so friendly and puts beautiful dishes together. You have to experience this thai restaurant.
Yummy – The food here is GREAT!!! The price was reasonable, the setting might be misleading as the exterior is average looking, however the interior is cozy, but a bit dim. If you're a wheelchair patron, the restaurant might be a challenge to get around, as it's small, and accessing the rr is a bit awkward as you have to go outside the restaurant itself and enter the back way.
Good but not fantastic – I went there tonight based on reviews here instead of my usual which is "The Little Thai". This place isn't *that* wonderful. I have nothing to complain about - perhaps the food was a little dry - but the reviews here way over-hype the place. The food was good quality and nicely presented. The portions were adequate.
