Excellent Thai Food-Gluten Free!! – My friends rave about this place and told me they would prepare a gluten free meal for me. I contacted Chef Pai to talk about my needs and my preferences. The staff created an appetizer, meal and desert that was not only delicious but a work of art. The prices are good but the best part is the food and the service. If you are gluten intolerant or just love good Thai food, this place is a must!
OUR Favorite Thai Restaurant! – We discovered this little place and fell in love with Thai food( I have never liked it before- Jitlada changed my mind!) Chef Pai comes around to each table- when she does ASK what is good that night---WHATEVER she suggests- GET! The mango & shrimp salad is DIVINE- as are the golden baskets( ground chicken and shrimp delicately fried in wafer thin pastry) The scallop and eggplant with coconut sauce entree is also to DIE for! Save room for dessert because the sweet black sticky rice and mango a... read more
Best Thai food in San Francisco! – As a former resident of Thailand and one constantly on the road, I'm always looking for good Thai food. Since moving to the city and trying 10 other SFO Thai establishments, it's safe to say Jitlada is the best by far. Not only is the food great, but the staff too, especially Khun Phai the chef. This is real Thai food!
Best thai we ever had – Every time we are visiting SF we make sure to have a meal at this little lovely restaurant. The food there is realy outstanding. The combinations of flavors are amasing. The presentation of the dishes is very tastfull, the service is attentive and friendly and the ambiance is simple but cozy. We always have great and relaxing time at Jiltada. If I lived in SF I'd go there at least once a week. Very effordable and very delicious.
My favorite Thai place in SF – This is my vote for best Thai restaurant in the city. The head chef Pai is charming and the food quality and presentation is both pleasant and memorable. I always have a good time here with friends. The appetizers are actually some of my favorites bar none. The ginger spring rolls and stuffed basil eggplant are always on my must have list. These days I am partial to the banana leaf trout dinner. Thumbs up!
DELICIOUS & FRIENDLY ENVIRONMENT TO DINE – I definitely will recommend Jitlada to anyone that wants to try unique Thai cuisine. It was one of the best Thai restaurants I've ever tried in the city. One of my favorite appetizer was the ginger shrimp spring rolls and the sleeping bag..yum! It is not those order me Pad Thai type of restaurants...it is a different atmosphere you can dine with your partner, friends or family. Chef Pai is the greatest and puts all her effort in all her dishes she presents out to each table.
Editorial Review by Citysearch Editors – Classic Thai restaurant serves curry entrees, traditional fruit desserts and more; offers four levels of spiciness.
Consistently Great Food – I have been here a number of times and the food has been consistently great. The location is a little off the beaten path (actually only a few blocks off of Fillmore) but don't let that deter you. Not only is the food great but alot of thought has been put into the presentation of the food and the service. Highly recommended.
Tasty Thai – Jitlada was delicious. My dad and I were house hunting in San Francisco, and since he had never really had Thai before we decided to give the place a try. The appetizers were delicious (soft-shell crab and "wrap me up" lettuce wraps), and my green curry was excellent. My dad had the Jitlada steak, which he was very impressed by. A fried banana with coconut ice cream was a great dessert . . . I'd recommend Jitlada to anyone because of the mixture of traditional Thai dishes and creative modern dishes.
