Love, love love Jitlada! – I have discovered Jitlada some time ago and I believe it to be the most incredible Thai place in town. Every visit is marked with excellent food served in a warm, inviting environment. Anyone visiting has got to try the chef-special mango salad!!!
Are you kidding? – If this is the best Thai in San Francisco...that is very disappointing. The pad thai was probably the worst we've ever had. Tasted like box noodles with ragu pasta sauce. The ginger shrimp egg rolls were tasty, but didn't make up for a below average meal. Would not send anyone I liked to this restaurant.
consistently excellent – my favorite,always fresh,great presentation and friendly owner. Recommend going earlier than later as they could use an extra server when it gets later. Never disappointed after numerous visits, I bring all my Thai enthusiasts here
Best ever – Jitlada has some of the best Thai food I have ever had. The quality and presentation of the food should put some of the more pricey Thai restaurants to shame. Chef Pai and her staff has created a feeling of an extended Thai family.
Excellent and authentic – Very courteous service. Artistic presentation of every dish. Try soup (Tom Yum Koog), Crying Tiger Salad, Red Curry Duck. Mango sorbet in a rice bowl makes a wonderful desert. Don't believe average rating below, the customer was obviously disappointed with chef Pai not visiting her table. Chef Pai usually greets people she knows, i.e. return customers who come back again and again.
Average Thai Restaurant – I went there for the first time a few nights ago after seeing a high rating here on Citysearch. I was at first delighted with the appetizer we ordered (Ground chicken and prawns in sleeping bag), but was very disappointed with the main course dishes. The black sticky rice was great though. I thought the service was good, except for the fact that the Chef came by each table except for ours. Opps! perfect attitude adjustment! – Chef Pai is wonderful- she creates beautiful dishes that are as creative as they are tasty- and she comes out to speak with each table. If she does BEFORE your meal- ask her what she reccommends-then order it! You won't be dissappointed! The service is unbelievable. There aren't many tables - so you always get individual attention. All Round Excellence – I have dined at many fine restaurants in San Francisco, but Jitlada superceded all my expectations. The service was excellent and the food was Finger-Licking-Fantastic!!! This by far has been the BEST THAI food I have ever eaten. Probably the best food I have ever eaten. I cleaned my plate with my fingers.
