Dr. Kontos has been my heart doctor for 8 years now. I had 7 stents put in my heart by Dr. Kontos and have had NO problems. Dr. Kontos and his staff have always been very good to work with. I highly recommend him.

I was referred to Dr. Kontos by my medical doctor several years ago for difficulty with my breathing. I am obese, and that seemed to be all Dr. Kontos could discuss, and told me several times that I needed stomach surgery. He was very rude about it, and I left quite upset. Now that I do need a cardiologist, and, since I requested to not have him as my primary physician, the entire group refuses to see me. Evidently, the doctors can choose their patients, but the patient can't choose the doctor.
Dr. Kontos was very thorough with my exam. I felt like he treated me the way he would treat someone in his own family.

Dr. Kontos is an outstanding physician! However, the office staff is terrible when asked to return a call or use the physician's portal to communicate with a patient. This is a real shame because I can not say enough good things about my relationship with Dr. Kontos.

I found Dr. Kontos from going to an Open House he and other doctor's held. At first, 2 years ago, he seemed to be a caring, knowledgeable doctor. Two weeks ago, I had a Echo done in his office which lasted 1 1/2 hours, the longest I have ever had. It has been 2 weeks and 2 promises from him, via his nurse, that I would know the results. Made the 3rd call today, no results. Do not EVER go this MAN if you value your heart and life. Mary Romer Myrtle Beach, SC
