Filed a claim on my shed and contents. Most of which was completely destroyed. This was filed on 8/4/21. I was given a claims agent and was told by her to take pictures of everything and upload them to her, weeks later she tells me I have to take everything out and take pictures. I asked that they send an agent out to do this( I am disabled after having swine flu in 2009. Respiratory issues large hernia in stomach and back issues) I was told that wouldn't happen. I would have not given them 1 star,, but I had to do that in order to say how they really are. Their motto" Like a good neighbor " is false. State Farm is not there for their customers. Over 16 years with State Farm and they claim it was mechanically damaged so they wouldn't have to cover my damages. I regret waisting all these years and money on them. Hopefully the *******Insurance Commission will do something about them. Charlotte *******
State Farm is okay if you have an automobile claim. Not so for a hail damage claim on a house. I and my next door neighbor have State Farm home insurance, both claims denied. 7 other neighbors with different home insurance their claim was approved. Other 7 are all within 1/2 block. This has been my experience. Good luck if you ever have a house claim with State Farm.

Everyone needs to stay away from state farm. All they do is scam you. They'll give you a killer deal just to switch to them and not even a month later raise the bill. That's what they did to me they gave me coverage on my vehicles for $282 a month and about 14 days after I made the first payment they said if I wanted to stay with them it would be $400 a month. We were hit by someone insured with this company and our car is no longer drive able. We have been waiting for days with still no rental car. Also no one has come out to look at the damage. Very very upset because now we can’t work as our job requires we have a vehicle. Please beware if you get hit by someone insured with State Farm you will have problems.
I work for a dealership and dealing with this company is legit the worst experience till this day. Waiting over 3 hours for someone to respond. I have customers in front of me waiting to do insurance to take the vehicle home. Someone picks up and speaks to us and then hangs up. They don't even call back. Going back and forth and no answers. NO responses at all. Customers cannot even take vehicles home without insurance.
State farm is the worst insurance agency I have ever dealt with , I had them 28 yrs and when wind damaged my roof state farm wouldn't cover me . They don't stand by anything
Never call the 1-800 # They blame you first and ask questions later to blame you more. We have a house, 4 cars and 2 motorcycles insured and they treated us like garbage. Terrible customer service. Suspicious practices. Bait and switch insurnace. Would like to be part of a class action Lawsuit when available.
State farm unfortunately has proven to be a company of zero integrity . Make sure to get every step in writing and record any conversation. They will lie to your face after telling you something else and the try to place blame of preferred service providers. Steve H********* of the ********* ****area has a long standing history of purposely praying on his customers and does everything possible to short you on coverage. He is paid commission when he saves the company money. Stay far away this company.
