lotsa fat – Too bad about this place. I lived in KC for over 10 years and this was place was not on my list. Steaks had too much fat, tough and the atmosphere left a lot to be desired. The wait staff were ok, although they couldn't fix the poor quality food.
Used to be GREAT – These guys are not in the same ballpark as the Golden Ox. They used to be great and our friends and us spent literally thousands of dollars there. The last two times we went there we were disappointed with the quality of their steaks. I got one at the little greasy spoon at home for 11.00 that was better than their 25.00 dollar steak.
big potatoes – the last time i was there the service was good,and the service was good
I have been going to Jess & Jims ever sence I was a kid. In the twenty years I have been going there they still have the best steaks.
Hot and Juicy – Jess and Jim's has the best steaks any where. They have great flavor and are always hot and juicey! And their baked potatos are to die for.
Excelent – The food is great, not only are the steaks great but the potatoes are the size of mini footballs...
A taste little of Country – A pleasant night out. A good eat-out if not in any kind of mood for fast food.
Here's the BEEF! – These people are what "Kansas City steak" is all about. They are serving up ample portions of food that you can eat and not a lot of frou-frou decoration that goes to the dumpster. The wait staff is professional but familiar and won't let you leave without smiling. The steaks are perfection and they will actually cook "well done" for you without grimacing.
10++++++ – The best place in the world for the steak lover!!
