Dr. Jimmy Kontos is not only a skilled surgeon (cardiovascular) he is a fantastic, compassionate and "human" person who treats me (and hopefully all other patients) with a good "bed side manner". Easy to confide in, answers both technical questions and your concerns with care and expertise. I previously had another cardiologist moved to Dr. Kontos for the reasons stated previously.. Have been a patient of Dr Karavan for about 5 years. Very pleased with his care and that of the staff. Great bedside manner and reminds with each visit “do you remember how you felt prior to your heart emergency.” I will never forget and appreciate the fact that he asks.

9 month visit. I love his demeanor, no wasted yakking, just good old how are you and what have you been doing to take care of yourself. Looks at all your medications, and explains the reason for continuing them.
