Dr. McGowan was very informative and explaining my condition to me as well as my options. I feel that he took his time.
He bed side manner is impatient. I had high anxiety about receiving a steroid shot which really irritated him. So he was done with me. He said stay on Ibuprofen over the weekend & good luck to you! Guess I am looking now for another Dr. who can be patient & understanding with people who want to improve their life’s activities & are afraid of needles.
2 knee replacements done by Dr. McGowen and I hike and have a normal life! So thankful! So attentive and thorough!
I waited 4 weeks to get an appointment to see Dr McGowan. I was told he was excellent so I patiently waited. He was rather cold and had a take it or leave it attitude. I have insurance coverage for up to 20 days in a rehabilitation facility after my surgery. Dr McGowan said he wouldn't do the surgery if I went to a rehab facility. He said I would need to come home and get live in care for 48 hours which is expensive.
