Dr Lafond is not only an excellent surgeon but also cares about his patients. I was surprised when he called to see how I was the night of my one day surgery with him. I would highly recommend him!!

From the time I went to Dr.Lafond office I knew I was in the right place. He greeted me with a smile was a very concerned and what I had to say and reassured me he was going to fix my problem. He explained the recovery process so I knew what to expect. He was honest enough to say things can come up during surgery. Recovery was just as he told me. I find Dr. Lafond one of the best surgeons I have had the please of being under his care.
I recently had surgery at Trident medical center. I was d/c the same day with a script for 5mg of Percocet.. I took the meds as the doc told me to and was still in excruciating pain. He told me to go to the ER if it didn't ease up. I went to the ER. The ER staff paged him 3 times and I also called twice from the ER. he never returned our pages. I was finally admitted for pain management. My nurse on the floor paged him another 4 times with no call back. If u r on call, answer the page.
I met dr. Lafond a few years back for a hernia. Ever since then I knew he would be the dr. Who would operate on me if I ever needed one. Well the time came when I needed I surgeon. He was there when I needed his services. And he did a wonderful job. I recomendable him to anyone

I had a second hiatial hernia repair both done by Dr. Lafond. After the second sugery I was so sick and NOT getting better. A few weeks of not getting better he got irritated and dropped me as a paitent in the most unprofessional way. Now I am at the Mayo hospital FL waiting on gastric bypass sugery because during my second sugery with DR. Lafond he damaged my vagus nerve leaving my stomach permanently paralyzed (gastroparesis) NEVER was I told this could happen. Lafond was rude, heartless...
Dr. Lafond has performed my last 4 hernia surgeries, starting in 2014 & most recently in June of 2017. He is the most kind, caring, compassionate doctor I have ever seen. After each surgery he called me at home to check on how I was doing & went out of his way to make sure I was as comfortable as possible. He & his staff are the ultimate professionals but they also treat you as a friend & take the time to really get to know you. I would definitely recommend Dr. Lafond to family & friends!
Dr. Lafond, provided me with excellent surgery and aftercare. i send all my office patients who need to see a surgeon to his office, he is a great provider.
