JEA is doing a great job. They respond quickly when called. Nothing is perfect but they do a great job.

During Irma, the second my power went out after midnight, I called JEA and got a real live human being who was very nice and apologetic. Of course no one can be expected to come out and restore power in the middle of a hurricane. JEA was still nice and assured me that my outage was noted and that I would receive a followup call as soon as they were able. Within 8 hours I had my power back! When hurricane Irma came, my power literally went off. I missed my morning shower and coffee.. then I started to sweat in my own house! I couldn't afford to evacuate, so they should've done everything to keep my power on! This is so wrong and we should boycott JEA! I went 12 horrific hours without a light bulb!! I tripped over my pet rat and broke his front right leg.. the vet wouldn't even do anything about it! Lastly, I went to the bathroom to poo in the dark, then when I proceed to wipe my hairy hole, a part of my hand go... read more

Thanks for all who are working so hard to restore power throughout the community. The hard work, many hours and time away from their own families required in a situation like hurricane Irma is much appreciated!

You rock! I know that's coming from someone with power, but I know you all are working as hard as possible to get the rest on. #hurricaneirma

Hurricane Irma caused widespread outages in Jacksonville and throughout FL. I drove past the electric line that caused my outage 3 times yesterday, each time a tree continued to still be laying on the line. Everyone needs to be aware that sometimes JEA has to wait to fix a line until something else is done. The tree was finally removed after dark, the line repaired with JSO sitting by to protect JEA working in the dark. Our electricity was out for a total of 44 hours which I felt was reasonable and even beyond my expectation... read more
