best haircut – Just went to Jay Michael for the first time last week. A beautiful salon with a great looking staff . I was referred to Nikki L. by a good friend of mine who has long, highlghted hair just like myself and doesnt like to go to hairstylists that are "scissor happy". Nikki was right on with my hair cut and did exactly what i asked her to....cut and shape up the layers without cutting too much length. I absolutley LOVE the cut so much that i made my next appointment for highlights too!!!
a response to mainlinemama1 – I can tell you by my own personal experience that i have been going to Nikki LaRussa for the past 15 years. I followed her throughout her career...from David Reed, to Millenium, and now Jay Michael Salon. Two years ago, I moved out of the Philadelphia area and i will admit that I tried to find another hairstylist to cut and color my hair in my new location. delightful experience =) – I follwed Kathy "KT" to Jay's salon and absolutley love it! These girls are all very tasteful and set off a professional yet trendy vibe.. I highly suggest trying them out!
Kathy "KT" is the best stylist hands down – "KT" is so professional and always has the best attitude and not affraid to point you to the latest trends and styles. Seriously the best cut I've ever had and super friendly. Best salon in the area and the best stylist hands down. If you're looking for the best cut don't waste your time and definitely make an appointment to see KT.
Poor Experience – Had a poor experience, haircut and aggravation. The haircut wasn't that good. Came back a couple of weeks later for a promised "Touch Up" which I was told would be free. Evidently, don't believe everything you hear - they wanted another $40. I left. For the list price of a men's haircut (highest in the suburbs at forty bucks + tip) it should be a great experience… and free trim at 2 weeks like they promised. Nikki is trendy and trust-worthy – Nikki C. is always on top of whatever the very latest styles are in hair trends, and will freely share her honest opinions. She has very good taste, and tons of innate skill, you will not leave her chair unhappy, or bored. (She's a very fun conversationalist too.)
