Great grotto in summer
Dinner and Drinks were great, our friends are the BEST SEIU ROCKS !
Consistently wonderful -- coming from someone that has ordered many a medium rare filet, and attended several Mother's Day brunches. The ambiance in the main room is simply sumptuous. (also, I lived across the street from Jax for almost a decade, and enjoyed the heavenly aromas floating across the Avenue almost every night ~ aah...)

My husband Harry, soon to be 104, has wanted to have a good prime rib dinner for over a year. We tried another place that was supposed to have good rib but it failed miserably. My son-in-laws, Greg and Tom said Jax Cafe is the only place to go. Harry, son Jay, Greg and Tom all proceeded to Jax Cafe where they were all treated like royalty. Harry says it was the best prime rib dinner he has ever had in his life. He has had many of them.
Had an awesome time tonight, as we always do. Friendly "real" people, excellent service at the bar & at table side, excellent food. Thanks Jax for a lovely birthday dinner.
My wife (girlfriend) went there for her high school prom back in 1986. No reservations. Me in a tuxedo, her in a beautiful long dress. Hostess seated us immediately to a table in their lovely garden. 25 years later, we enjoyed dinner on valentines day. Thanx for the memories.
Jax's is the best! Don't need to write a book on this place!!!!
