It’s good news that Dr Parvizi is retiring. I found him arrogant and dismissive, with horrible bedside manner. As a result of his surgery, I now have a significant leg length discrepancy and my pelvis is twisted due to the uneven offset of my hips. My shoes now need to have a lift added to them, at significant expense. I have learned from consulting with other surgeons that my only recourse is having my good hip operated on to TRY to make it match. Stay away from Parvizi if you’re seeking a surgeon who cares!
First of all, my surgery went well and I suppose that is what is most important. Dr. Parvisi has a very unique bedside manner. I just learned that he is retiring in Dec. so maybe that has something to do with it. My first complaint, is that the day of my surgery (July 3 2023) I didnt even see Dr. Parvisi. Not during prep, certainly not during and not even after as I was recovering. I am not sure if this is the Rothman way, but I found it very alarming.
