Quaint restaurant in King's Beach. Saw the food pics on Yelp and they did not disappoint. I started w/the salad bar which was only $4.95 when an entree is purchased. It's a meal in itself so I only picked at my chicken w/smoked Gouda penne pasta. But that's okay 'cause I'm going to enjoy it for another meal. The rest of us had a flat iron steak, Cajun salmon and ribs. We enjoyed having bites of each other's meal as everything was tasty. Great place!
This was our best meal in North shore, the French onion soup was spot on, we split a Tahoe burger with bacon which was absolutely amazing! We tried he ribs as an appetizer but they were just ok, while better than an actual "bbq joint" just up the road, just ok. For dessert we shared the hot apple pie aka mode which was disappointing. This had to have come straight out of the microwave, the crust looked nice and golden brown but was mushy and soggy. This place has the best salad bar EVER! I love to come here when I am in town.
This place has very cozy ambiance -lots of dark wood, evenly-distributed dim lighting, lowered interior fire pit, and a great location in the middle of Kings Beach. The food is quite tasty, and very reasonable for the price. Jason's also has a diverse selection of fancy cocktails --great after a long hike. I have been going to Jason's for years, and will continue to do so provided nothing changes!
Burger for lunch was very good. I wouldn't go to a burger joint and order the ribs, it just doesn't make sense to order something outside their wheel house. Burgers were cooked perfectly, and the bacon was an excellent topper. Place is cozy even on a cold day, and for lunch on a Monday it is quiet in December. It looks like it might get busy later in the evening with locals warming themselves with libations. Parking in front is minimal, but you can park on the back side by the beach. Late review on this one. But this place is lit. Their beer selections/sizes are worth the trip itself. The restaurant perfectly fits the entire Tahoe vibe and I think it's safe to say that this place is a staple in future trips to North Lake. Great food and an option for unlimited trips to their salad bar. #Sold!
Came here last november on the drive from the bay area to incline village. Food and service were above average and awesome!
