I met with his nurse to talk about Onsight (an exercise studio that bridges the gap between medicine and fitness). She was friendly and engaging. I appreciated the time she took to listen our product and look forward to working with Dr. Newby's office and helping his patients in the future.
Dr Newby has been my primary care doctor for a number of years. When I first went o him he heard a heart murmur, which I have had most of my life. He insisted that I get an echo and go to a cardiologist to determine the exact problem. After that each time I would see him he wanted an update. Finally he recommended I see a surgeon for another opinion. I was told I was past due on replacement of my aortic valve. After surgery I am thankful for a conscientious doctor like Dr. Newby.
Dr. Newby and his office are dedicated to personalized service. I never feel rushed and Dr. Newby spends as much time as necessary to focus on symptoms and formulate diagnosis and treatment. He is one of the most careful practitioners I have ever encountered.
Arrogant, Rude, ill-Mannered, Vindictive adequately describes Dr. Newby in my experience. Multitasking and putting the pieces of you're medical puzzle together is not his forte. This 'Dr.' needs to stick to sprains and colds, and not serious, possibly even life threatening disease. In this towns Cradle Of Medical Idiocy, he jockies for first place. I've been seeing him quite a while, and I am just as ill now as I was from day one. I'd have more respect if hed just say that he wasn't sure what
After a couple of years, I want to update my experience with Dr. Newby. I'd still say he is overall a good choice for PCP. But understand that a PCP is limited in terms of scope. With certain conditions, you are much better off with a specialist, albeit the higher co-pay amount. He may enthusiastically try to help you if you ask, but the my experience is that you must do your homework right and understand what you, as a patient, need to do, like choosing a specialist.
Dr. Newby is his staff are excellent. Dr. Newby is very knowledgeable and thorough with me. He takes the time to properly diagnose and discuss treatment options that are available. Staff is friendly and excellent about appointment reminders. The best experience I have had with any of my primary care doctors.
I have been Dr Newby’s patient for about five years. It has been my best primary care experience. Dr Newby always takes time to speak with me about my health and test results. Never in a hurry.Everyone in the office is friendly and helpful. Always easy to get a appointment.
I've known Dr Newby for 35 years. I called James and made an appointment and waited two weeks for today, Feb 15, 2018. After a 30 minute wait James called me into his office to say he wasn't going to be able to see me because of an argument we'd had 12 years earlier. Thanks for the hassle Dr. Newby . A complaint with the agencies that oversee BAD doctors will soon be coming on you lack of professionalism. Emergency room here I come!
