Basically wrote off a loved one. Had no suggestions for other treatment options, alternatives for seeking treatment elsewhere, etc.Any question you have is answered with a flat out “no” or a lengthier “no that won’t work”‘with absolutely zero explanation. Also asked about a maintenance drug in addition to a specific treatment only was told “no” in typical Dr Arrango fashion. Apparently office policy is to refuse to see someone that has been seen by Moffit.
FIND ANOTHER DOCTOR! Find one that cares about their patients and not the money!When we refused a very expensive maintenance pill, his demeanor changed towards us.He said we would be in complete control of our treatment; But when we ask for a treatment that had worked well before he refused and insisted, we use a much harsher treatment…He became extremely arrogant saying “he was the expert and we were not if we didn’t like his diagnoses we could go someplace else”Trust me… Go to another doctor!
This doctor is the epitome of a top physician in his approach and empathy. The time he takes with me to explain cause, effect and procedures belies the fact that he is constantly busy, not only seeing patients in his office, but also in surgery.
He immediately knew what was wrong with me and efficiently got me tested for POTS and Orthostatic Hypotension. Dr. Ballal is very knowledgeable and listens to your concerns! He even referred me to genetic testing for possible connective tissue disorders. I’m so thankful to have him in my care team!
I was 18 yrs old in 1993, Dr. Messina at Lakeland Regional Hospital saved my life with a reconstruction of my Mitral Valve. No mechanical valve, no pig’s valve. Just his compassion and care to have a young woman live her life to the fullest! Matt seems to be a competent MD however his scheduling is ridiculous and just plain inconsiderate. I've waited for him before but on my last appointment with him I waited 40 minutes in his exam room before I decided to walk.I understand if there is an issue with a patient before me but let me know! Don’t assume that my time means nothing, tell the nurse that he’s behind and will be with me in # minutes and let me decide if I want to wait or not.I will be changing to a more considerate individual-office and will ask before I ... read more
