Service was friendly and fast! The aromas wafting out of the kitchen were divine. I had the special of the day - pork roast - and I couldn't eat it all, because the hubby stole it after he finished his burger. It was so good: perfectly tender and juicy. My husband isn't a gravy fan - but he couldn't get enough of the mashed potatoes and gravy with this pork. So delicious. Loved the experience and regretted that we have lived here all of this time and had not tried it earlier!

This was my first visit to Jake's and I enjoyed Friendly staff and a comfy atmosphere. The burger and onion rings were awesome. Very nice and cool place to go plus great music!

Great downtown Waco spot to eat excellent food in a great casual atmosphere at 7th & Austin Ave. Highly recommend this restaurant for great comfort foods.

This is a must for anyone visiting Waco, the food is extremely good. Jake is out front seating guests and his entire family makes you feel like an old friend. We will be back!!

Great place to eat!! Have never been disappointed. The owner and wait staff treat you like your family. Always busy but we have never waited more then a few minutes to be seated. They have daily specials, awesome garage salad, chicken fried steak. Be sure to leave room for their home made pies!!
