Not very impressed honestly. While the atmosphere is pretty awesome the food isn't. The service is pretty slow for not many customers being here. Couldn't hear anything the waitress said. The chicken fried steak had no flavor, pot roast was nothing but fat, and the fish was a little ok. I was really looking forward to eating here from the cool pictures and from what I see on the outside but I'm very disappointed.

Ate here today. Good service. Great food. set up like a 50's style joint. There's a 57 T-bird and a 57 Fairlane both cut in half and positioned around the room. Simple menu. Pick your entree. Unlimited sides, rolls and cornbread plus a salad. My nephew and I had the fried chicken. My wife had fried catfish and my niece had chicken fried steak. Everything was fresh and homemade. I ate at Jake's for the first time today. I had the veggie quesadillas with chicken and they were delicious. My husband ordered the trio salad and he really enjoyed that. Your desserts looked awesome and I plan to try one of those the next time we are back.

Jake's is a wonderful place to eat. They have the best food in Waco, the service is great and everyone is so friendly, a really fun environment.. We have been when Elvis and Marilyn Monroe have been the entertainment and we loved it. I could go on and on about this place and how wonderful it is. If you can't tell, it's my favorite restaurant!
