The food was served family style and it was fantastic some of the best mashed potatoes and gravy I have had black eyed peas and corn bread green beans and cream corn and I had the grilled pork chops Anita had the grilled chicken it was all awesome �

The café is big on style but lacks substance. I ordered a grilled chicken, bacon and Swiss sandwich minus the bun with sweet potato fries. The fries were good(can anyone really mess up fries?) But the chicken patty almost seemed like it was from a frozen package and the "swiss" cheese was DEFINITELY the kind that came out of an individual package similar to the kraft cheese slices. I did not try the dessert but must say they did look handmade and looked pretty amazing. The server was great, very friendly and did a good job. ... read more

Just left there with my family. Got seated, waited 15 mins..no one showed. Glad about that really, since it gave us time to see nothing really impressive on menu. We googled burgers in Waco and Jakes was recommed. Guess what...no burgers on the menu. Also food and plates were left on the tables around us and no one bused them the 15 mins we were there till we walked out.

Very friendly atmosphere with a 50's theme. I had a spicy chicken sandwich that was delicious. The kid's meal was huge, delicious, and served in the cutest cardboard car. We loved it!

Jake' Texas Tea House has amazing and delicious food! Always served hot and fresh!!! Very generous with their portions of food and hands down, the Best Southern style food in Waco!! Staff and service went above and beyond!!!! Thanks for such an enjoyable lunch!!! ����
