4 stars only because the service was a little slow.
We have been coming to Virginia Beach every year for the past 10 years. We all do our family day on Thursday.. My personal favorite is the Miss Piggy. Best service and food around town. We will diffently be back next year..
Best pork BBQ in town...fried okra and corn nuggets are awesome as well.

Food was delicious. They gave you plenty. I had the pulled barbeque chicken. It was very moist.

We've been to Jake's many times and it seems that we either expect too much or they are changing in a way that does not benefit the customer. I had the pulled chicken sandwich, and although tasty, the chicken seemed awfully dry and the bun literally fell apart when I tried to pick it up. Had to consume my sandwich with a fork and knife. My dining partner experienced the same with her pork sandwich. We paid the extra fee for fresh veggies in lieu of fries when we were told they were prepared in a garlic butter sauce.
