a fun bar – I had a great time with my girlfriends at this bar on wed. it was ladies night and the bartender Ken was very good-very funny and very cute:) I will go back soon!
great prices, cool bartenders, great time! – I went to jake's dilemma on a sunday night... they had $2.50 pints!!! what a great price for NYC. Great Place to Hang with Friends – This bar is a great place to hang out with friends. The staff are really friendly, and the drinks are perfect!
Great spot – I have been coming to Jake's for years, the crowd is consistency good, service good and music perfect.
Great time all the time – I've been going to Jake's for a while now and have never been disappointed. It's always a party Friday and Saturday nights. If you're up for games, the pool table has decent serious players, the beerpong table is always active with usual silliness, and there's hardcore foosball downstairs. User review by jackofclubs – Been to Jake's on a bunch of different nights- during the week it's a great place to meet friends and hang out (can't beat the happy hour either). Definitely a popular spot on the weekend- busy right up until 4am (they stay open 'til 4 every night). And for as busy as the place is, it's great to see bartenders and waitresses who know what they're doing...
User review by tedlanzi – Tons of options - 50 bottles of beer, 14 taps, pool tables, darts, juke box and beer pong. The bartenders are fast and furious and never miss a beat. The prices are fantastic and the food is great. My favaorite place to hang out.
Average frat scene – An entirely average bar in every regard. There's no reason to come here vs. any other joint in this bar-laden stretch of Amsterdam Ave. Those nostalgic for their frat days might enjoy the back room, complete with ugly mismatched couches, beer-soaked oriental rugs, a library of dusty books, and an old class picture.
Great Space – I've been to Jake's Dilemma for a number of different reasons and had a great time each time. First I came here for a company happy hour in the room downstairs. It is a great place to have a party of 30 or less people. Then I came here with my boyfriend and a few friends and we sat in the back room on the couches and played cards. We have waitress service the whole night. Then I came back here for a girls night out and had a wild time. I highly suggest it for any occasion.
