About this business

Religious folk tell us there are Seven Deadly Sins. Now New Yorkers can partake in the Eighth Deadly Sin, the to-die-for chocolate found at Jacques Torres D.U.M.B.O.. And a heavenly haven it is! Torres is one of the world's premier chocolatiers, making his chocolate from cocoa beans right before your eyes. The shop is designed in the oval shape of a cocoa pod and has views for all to see of the working machines in the factory where the magic happens. After seeing the beans turn to chocolate, let the champagne truffles and cr... read more

It was a fun and educational experience for adults and kids. There was many interactive and hands-on activities for kids to touch and play with. There were many opportunties to taste chocolates on and before tour. There were many varieties of chocolates. The only complain I have is that there aren't enough variety of mint chocolate bars.

The chocolates were the smoothest chocolate I've ever had! No aftertaste! The self guided tour was also interesting, and the gift shop was full of goodies that were in an appropriate price range.
