Great old fashioned oyster house -feels like a different era when Teddy Roosevelt ate here. Makes you feel elegant and timeless. Drinks are fabulous. My Albany favorite.
I dined at Jack's today for lunch. I was greeted by a very friendly and enthusiastic hostess. Whatever she's earning, she deserves a raise. Unfortunately, my experience quickly went downhill. My waiter took a long time to initially greet us and take our beverage order. My son and I both asked for just water and we were given dinner menus at 12:45pm so I asked the waiter if we could have lunch menus. I thought I glimpsed him rolling his eyes as he turned away. We first went to Jack's 30 years ago on a date, then went back 23 years ago to announce the impending birth of out first child and just two weeks ago to celebrate our 27 wedding anniversary. Great food and atmosphere!
