The Izaak Walton is just magical! The staff is so much fun and kind. We spend our anniversary weekend there every year. It's our treat to ourselves. We have property in the area but still love staying at the hotel in the winter. We love it!!
When we first checked in service was friendly and attentive; however, when a storm knocked out power -and water as a result, the folks at the hotel didn't care Much about the guests across the tracks at the cabooses and cabins. Never mind we paid extra for those rooms, there was zero communication or concern for the fact we had no running water or electricity. They had a generator at the inn, so they were doing great over there. At the least they should have warned us to conserve water and/or provided bottled water. Very poo... read more
