We had an extremely upsetting and disappointing experience at the IWK tonight. We arrived around 4:00 p.m. with our 17-month-old baby, who was suffering from a very high fever of 102–103�F, vomiting, diarrhea, and was clearly very unwell. As a parent, watching your baby suffer like this is already terrifying, and the experience at the hospital made it even worse. This was truly an excellent experience for me and my son. I was really surprised by the low review score, so I felt obligated to leave one. The staff was great, the efficiency was great, there was free parking… it was a happy surprise compared to many other scenarios I’ve been in recently and I hope they continue to get whatever funding they need to keep this amazing resource
get more doctors so wait time can be faster nurses seen using their phones and every time you ask how much longer they say i dont know I waited 6 hours just to leave. it wasn't getting any quicker. the nurse upfront also was very rude and didnt seem to care. I only came because I was advised on a 811 call to come.
Daughter was assaulted by staff in june. Looks like they removed the first review after that to try to cover it up, but the staff hurt children constantly and had no remorse to beat my child, leaving her with bruises and damage for weeks
