I am happy with my ivory home. I live in the Newport village development and for the most part ivory has been good. Looking at homes that are being built I am overall satisfied. The builders took some shortcuts which I will have to fix, but they are minor in comparison to other homes I’ve seen built lately. I gave 4 stars because the warranty department (which the warranty is why we bought with Ivory) is a pain in the neck. You have to fight and you will be blamed for things a home should weather through. My example was a ho... read more
Ivory Homes Warranty Representative had assured us that Ivory Homes will repair the roof fascia, which had flown off due to not adequate fasteners. He said he would have a contractor out to repair within two weeks. It has now been over a month and he will not answer his phone or our text messages. He is avoiding us and I feel Ivory Homes is not honoring their warranty repairs. He had even taken the piece of fascia for reference. If I had to do the home building process again, I would not choose Ivory Homes. They have not bee... read more
We purchased a $611,000 house in September 2019 with Ivory Homes in South Jordan. Our paint starting peeling off our doors within a few months. It looks horrible, ivory said they do not warranty pain. Our balcony has several huge gouges that still haven’t been repaired, they have been reported several times. The very worse is the concrete splatter all over door jams. It makes our home look like a piece of trash in an inner city, not a 611,000 home! I have filed it the warranty claim form several times, I have sent emails and... read more
Employees were drinking beer every single day on the job and putting the cans in our trash cans. Constantly parking in front of our house and blocking our driveway. Blast music at 6 am even though they are working about 4 feet from our bedroom wall. Tried to communicate these frustrations to management and they didn’t care. These guys are all around terrible people and will only care about you if you are their customer.
Ivory Homes is a shady business. They cut so many corners with their homes and warranty work that your house is a perfect circle. They will undercut the customer at every possible point; the "realtors" only care about Ivory Homes' interests and will scam you out of money, like taking square footage away from you without telling you, not having their project managers actually check up on the house as it's being built to make sure it is being completed correctly, make your yard unusable by leaving construction trash like nails... read more
We bought a brand new Ivory home about a year and a half ago. The inside of the home was painted with one coat of watered down paint, which chips with the slightest bit of contact. But the most concerning thing is that three months after buying our new home our driveway started to chip, pit, and a part of it is starting to sink. Ivory has tried to blame it on "owner neglect," even though we have never used salt on it. Cement contractors have told us the cement was watered down and not done properly. Ivory takes no responsibi... read more
Ivory Homes has been in business for so many years that they have learned how to create a solid contract that ONLY protects the builder! They make you pay a 10% non-refundable deposit before even breaking ground on your home! This in itself forces you to settle with issues along the way! Any issues they just say, “that’s how we do it” when you dispute anything they simply send you a copy of where you agreed to their terms. Not much of a choice unless you want to back out and lose $50k because that’s how they do it, you were ... read more
Ivory homes is great at finding good locations and subdivisions. They are horrible at warranty work and managing their subcontractors. They did their very best to put us off to the end of the warranty period - hoping that we would pass the warranty period and not submit claims. Until we threatened legal action- they did absolutely nothing! Very sad!!
We love our home!!! We built our second home with Ivory Homes, and the quality, attention to detail, service, and experience as a whole has been at a completely different level. With every interaction, from Ron Husband our superintendent, James Johnson, Aaron Rigby, the design team, even the couple minor warranty items during our first year, building this home has been an absolute pleasure relative to building our first with another popular Utah builder. We would absolutely consider building with Ivory again, even if we end ... read more
