Dr Percent made sure I understood every step-gave us all possibilities for cancer treatment-I found him to be down to earth-easy to understand-he made my road much easier to walk as he was by my side and still is, every step I take. Best of all-even in my darkest moments-he pulls me back to reality and helps me find the the path that is right for me. Many reviews mention factual and no non-sense attitude-truthful-thoughtful-to the point and I add willing to LISTEN.
I went to him for a blood disorder and found him arrogant and rude. When my husband asked a question he told him off. In a later visit I asked if I could use a milder blood thinner and he asked me if I was driving in a 70mile zone would I drive 69 or over the 70 speed limit. I said a couple miles over, he then said, “you’ll do whatever you want anyway”. What an arrogant doctor!!! This is his mannerisms while talking down to you!! A very scary guy!!!
This doctor saved my life. I was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer that had metastasized. I was hesitant to do chemo and radiation. With his caring persistence, I did and I am still alive today. He has been my doctor for 10 years. One of the best I have had on this journey. A loving, caring man. I highly recommend him.
I started with Dr. Percent in latter 2018 with treatment for my leukemia. I was impressed by his factual and no non-sense attitude toward my treatment. I liked that about him because it indicated to me he was about the truth and I feel that way too. During my treatment I had several health issues besides the leukemia and he took great care, time and personal involvement to help me through those problems. I find him extremely caring. Staff are kind w/ superior follow up. Dr. Percent is incredibly knowledgeable & efficient. While his bedside manner could use work (he once asked if my mom was fatter than I am before she lost her weight), you can tell he cares & gives you his undivided attention. Delicacy in conversation is not a strength but directness is. While somewhat dogmatic - dismissing info not fitting his narrative - I respect his dedication & expertise. He is an excellent listener, compassionate, & extremely thorough.
This is a lot of money in cancer treatment. This guy knows how to use your weakness and the fear of cancer to fill his pockets. I would never recommend him to any living thing. He abused me with expensive tests that were unnecessary and he nearly scared me to death. Beware and stay away.
WORST DOCTOR I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED. RUDE AND ARROGANT. DON'T DARE ASK HIM ANY QUESTIONS. TEXTING AND WRITING ON THE COMPUTER MOST OF THE VISIT. RUN FAR AWAY FROM THIS GUY.
Dr. Percent was my mothers Oncologist for well over 10 years. A very dedicated physician that always strides to provide excellent care to all of his patients. 2 yrs ago my mothers cancer returned and more aggressively. I was in denial. His kind & compassionate discussion with me placed me in a better mindset. I will always be grateful for his referral to Tidewell Hospice in home service and later to Tidewell/Venice. Cancer is never easy to deal with I definitely recommend Dr. Ivor Percent.
I am a patient of Dr Percent. I expected to meet with a competent doctor who would diagnose my cancer and treat me to the best of his ability. But I didn't expect the level of compassion he had. He eased my fears within the first minutes of meeting him. We talked about what I had and the ways of treating it. He spent more time with me than I expected. But when I thought we were done he wheeled his chair over to my wife. He took the extra time to comfort her and ease her fears. Outstanding!
