I've been here maybe 4 times and I have had no problem except the lack of communication about my diagnosis and the ER room waiting room. We brought my wife here a few years ago and they wanted her to submit a urine sample but she couldn't pee, they didn't do a blood test, just gave her norcos, antibiotics, and sent her on her way! 2 weeks later we found out she was pregnant! That was a big shocker also because she wasn't supposed to be taking any of the medicine they gave her
This is the nastiest hospital I have ever been in. And the slowest. And when you ask them whats taking so long they go get a bunch of cops and kick you out. This will never happen again and I will be calling the Board of Health on this nasty place.

Never again will i come to IU west. I've been coming here since you guys opened and even gave birth to my 2 children here but never again will I come back, nor will I bring my children back. This is the only hospital I have ever used for my children including just 3 weeks ago when he had to have stitches. But when I came in this morning at 12:10 I had never in my life been treated so poorly. I could probably have been helped a lot more at Eskenazi and that's a shame to say. On Thanksgiving Day we were in labor and delivery with the best doctors and nursing staff! They were caring, knowledgeable and sacrificial while being away from their own families on the holiday. We are so grateful for all they did for us and our little guy.
Great great hospital out there. I'll never go anywhere else. Yes I had to wait a while in the er but once after that all doctors, nursing and staff in general was the best! Very kind loving people! I was there for gall bladder pancreatitis worst pain ever and when I had to get my endoscopy test I was so nervous but the doctor walked me though everything and all staff reassured me. Honestly the best I've ever been, and I don't plan on leaving.
My mother was recently in the ICU, we will never take her back to this hospital. Most of her nurses were rude with no compassion. Whenever we asked for information on labs, what they thought the problem was and what they were going to do next....we were told to talk to the doctor. During the week stay the doctor only called 3 times to give us an update. We requested that they contact one of her doctors that was in the same building to come visit her.
