I highly recommend Island Exotic Veterinary Care. I have taken 3 of my pets there so far.. a rabbit, goose and duck. All of them received excellent care. The staff is always very compassionate and highly skilled. If you have an exotic pet this is the vet to choose.

We’ve been here twice so far when we needed to bring our guinea pigs in for emergency care. Both times we’ve seen Dr. Davis and we can’t say enough about how wonderful she and the staff are. Everyone is warm and friendly and completely dedicated to providing the absolute best care for our little guys. I would recommend IEVC to anyone looking for great vets and vet techs to take care of their small and/or exotic pets. (And the receptionist is the best, too!)
Been going to dr. Hoeffer since she was at west hills. Drove 45 minutes to take my African grey, Elmo to her for 15 years. Dr. Hoeffer saved him from numerous near death experiences. She's a rock star in my book! Unfortunately Elmo just passed away. We rushed him out there and they stayed open for us but unfortunately there was nothing they could do to save him this time. We miss him terribly but thanks to everyone at island exotic for helping him so many times! -Chris and Jenn
I made an appointment because we noticed one of our hens was suddenly not doing well. Although she was given a poor prognosis during her examination, Dr. Hoefer was upfront and honest about it all and Shauna, the technician, was so caring and loving during the whole appointment. I felt comfortable and very thankful for everyone there. Gracie was lucky to have met you all, thank you <3
