The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable, and compassionate. They have helped our sugar gliders over the past 9+years with everything from being neutered, a removal of a tumor, a tail amputation, general concerns, possible sicknesses, misc. injuries and more. I wouldn't trust any other vet with our babies.
Tonight, unfortunately, we had to lay to rest our little hedgehog, who hasn’t been doing well recently. We could not believe how AMAZING the doctor was with her and with us. It’s been a while since I’ve been through this process and her soft tone and patience had us as calm and comforted as possible. I wouldn’t normally write a review like this but I sincerely felt the experience was respectful and peaceful. Thank you staff!
Island Exotics is one of the few practices where I can say that I adore every single person on the staff. They've saved the life of my pets on more than one occasion, and are just incredible, smart, professional people. I can't recommend them highly enough, and for the procedures and medications I've had to put in place, I think they're very affordable!
I took my caique parrot here for an emergency and wow they are great!!! They saved my bird’s life. ❤️❤️❤️
I took in a rescue chinchilla who was thin, scratching at the sides of his face. Worrying about possible malocclusion, and if he was in pain, I called and Dr. Hoefer got us in right away in spite of it being a busy Saturday. Everyone was so nice, knowledgeable and compassionate. "Ghostface Chillah" had his dental issues addressed, bloods, x-rays, and the cost was so reasonable. I highly recommend Dr. Hoefer if you have exotics or birds! Thank you so much to all of you! ❤️
