Even with the hour and half wait it was definitely worth it! The food and drinks were excellent, so was the company!
GREAT dinner with only a 20 minute wait! Sat out on the deck overlooking the lake and had a Old Fashion,
Best place to spend an evening! We always look forward to when the open in the spring, wonderful atmosphere, best food and service around!
I visit every year! One of the highlights of my summer weekend trips! Great food, service and atmosphere!

Just an all round great time, the hour wait is well worth it. We had a couple of drinks a shrimp cocktail, a lot of laughs and met some very nice people at the bar, I would recommend the Buffalo Martini. The food well it speaks for it self, the prime rib ( forget about it ) it's that good and so is the Duck. I drive or should I say Ride 180 miles one way just to eat at Ishnala's been there 5 times in the last year and am returning for the fall colors. We are former Wisconsin residents who had looked forward to returning here on our trip back home. The food and cocktails were just so,so. The matradee should not have a job!!! I have a 9lb Certified Medical Service dog and he treated us terribly. He told me I had to tell him what condition I needed my dog for which is a violation of HIPPA. Finally after threat of lawsuit he allowed us in and tried to seat us way in the rear, we wanted a lake view, a fter more complaints by my husband we were seated with a view. Not sure why all the negative reviews! Yep, they don't take reservations, so we arrived at 3:45 on Labor Day weekend and they told us they could seat us around 4:20. My husband, two sons and I settled into the bar where a nice young man took care of us. He made our drinks and made special drinks for our boys. We had barely finished our drinks when our buzzer went off. It was just after 4. We were shown to our table and proceeded to have a wonderful meal. Being to a couple different supper clubs and working at one in Wisconsin. This stop has Definitely been the best.The 30 minute wait which was expected. The old fashions were exceptional! The waitress was awesome came back to the table at the perfect time. the lobster & 7oz. filet mignon was cooked perfect. the whole meal pair with a bottle of Napa Valley Stag leap Artemis. Even though we were to full for dessert we still got a piece of the chocolate cheesecake. By far the best establishment I've been to in a while.
Contrary to public opinion...... we arrived at about 5 pm - of course we were told they do not take reservations. I arrived with someone who had great difficulty walking from the car into the restaurant and had to maneuver to the bar because we were told we had a 40 to 50 minute wait - unlike the party of 6 who arrived at the same time and were seated immediately.
