Love it!!! I wish we had more time to walk and look at everything on our own...i will definitely come back when there are more tours...
So glad to have had the opportunity to tour the penitentiary. The volunteers were great and very knowledgeable !
Was really impressed with the cause. The amount of people who showed up to see something so historical. The amount of canned goods collected for the local food pantries was amazing. Lot of great causes behind the tour. Long line of people. Long wait. But meeting other people. Having fun. And finding out how far they came was a, blast.
It was a great tour and thank you everyone who gave the tour and all the work that went into it.

Thank you to all the volunteers that took their time on Sunday to give us a tour have a piece of History. was very informative and interesting to see the cells and the different areas in the prison my son enjoyed it immensely
Enjoyed being able to take a tour of Fort Madison Penitentiary . It is defiantly an important piece of Iowa history and should be preserved for future generations. With that being said I am hoping with continued high interest in the preservation that more areas will be opened in the future to view.Thank you to all involved that made this possible
