Please do not waste your money on purchasing medical insurance with this company. I had cover with them for 2 years and paid over $4000 in premiums. I only ever made one visit to a doctor and had some blood work done. They denied any claims made and always state "its not covered in your policy". When I made inquiries previously about coverage they kept stating it maybe judged to be a pre-existing condition which they don't cover. Therefore, please DO NOT use this company. IMG is a FRAUD, THIEF, and should be off the market completely. Any email from IMG was DAYS OR WEEKS SLOW (IF a response even came AT ALL). A MAJORITY of their email responses repeatedly stated, "WE CAN’T FIND your information", and asked me to resend emails with ALL of my account information, including screenshots of my filed claim that they WERE NOT ABLE TO FIND. I got this insurance for my mother when she travels to the US to stay with us. She had to see a doctor because of sever coughing. The doctor said that this is an old issue that now become sever. I paid $1,100 to buy the insurance and $1,180 for the doctor visits and medications. I have the same experience as many here. The claims processing takes too long. In my case, it's been 2.5 months and still nothing. The website/paperwork claim that they do it in 30 days. For me, this was a serious issue. The healthcare provider I was going to (in China), wanted to do a more serious procedure that was more expensive after doing several preliminary tests to determine my issue. Could be a good plan. But only if you NOT a US tax resident according to the IRS (IMG contract 18.d). Important as you have no insurance AT ALL if you became one (I mean nada, nowhere, it is cancelled). And you can be US Tax resident just by visiting the and staying a few months on ESTA or other visas (check IRS substantial presence guidelines).

We are having a terrible experience with IMG. IMG kept denying claims. Last year, when my mom-in-law visited the US, we bought first heath network insurance (which is a higher premium plan) from IMG. Unfortunately, my mom had to go to ER in Jan for a back pain. Hospital followed paperwork and file with IMG. First time denied; we submitted more details. it took them 3 months and denied again.
