Recently stayed in Ely at a cabin on one of the many lakes in the area and found this restaurant while getting camping supplies and had to actually eat there a couple of times and wish I did more. The Tennessee Fried Chicken was so juicy and fully of spices it seemed unreal! I have eaten at Shrouds in KC many times and the chicken at Insula beat them hands down. I also recommend the Bloody mary and Whatever the chef put's out of a evening as the pasta special ;-) We only cooked out a couple times due to the food being so goo... read more
Our vacation. Ate on 6/30 and 7/01. Bad, Rude,nasty, young snips serving food not cooked correctly. Food good if cooked right. Servers roll eyes and are kids who have no manners.
I go to Insula every Friday for breakfast for Eggs and bacon!
