I love this company. I thought it was a scam as well when they came to my door but my husband wanted to use renewable energy sources so we tried it out. My bill did not go up it went down and the company checks in with us each year to see how they can do better. We are currently in fixed pricing and I couldn’t be happier.

The company itself is very responsive and offers exceptional service with extremely convenient products like the Zen thermostat. Coupling that with their mission to provide clean and affordable energy to the US does not give me any reason to rate them anything less than 5 stars.

Representative came to my home while I was not present, my girlfriend answered the door. The representative said they were licensed by the state (New Jersey) to provide clean energy and to ensure we received the notification from JCP&L about the air pollution notice and that if we didn't respond we would be tagged for air pollution. She let the representative know that I was not home and I am the one who deals with the utility bill. He asked when I would be home because he will be in there area later. At 8.35 pm, as I am get... read more

Hi Jeff - Thank you for taking the time to leave this feedback, we really appreciate it. Please expect an email from Inspire's Member Experience Team, so that we can get a bit more information from you and get to the bottom of this quickly.
They knocked on my door and told me my bill would not change and there would be no changes to my service and the next bill went up $50.45 for their service charges for using their company. They conveniently left out that little detail of their charges. DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THEM. YOUR BILL WILL INCREASE. In the middle of a pandemic you fail to mention that you charge for your service when people are struggling already? Totally scammy practices.
Business response:
Hi Nicole - Thanks for reaching out, and we apologize for your experience. When you sign up for Inspire, or any supplier, we take over the supply portion of your bill from your utility company. Inspire is not a double charge, rather, instead of the supply charges coming from your utility as they used to, they now come from Inspire. We apologize for any confusion, and hope that you'll consider clean power with Inspire again in the future.
I was approached by a door to door sales rep about switching my supplier to Inspire. I naturally am weary of these kinds of sales tactics in general, but we assured over and over that my rate wouldn't change, just would come from clean alternatives. Sounded too good to be true, so the rep called another manager at the company and put them on the phone for me. This person also stated the same info that my rate would not change. Well.... you can imagine what happened next. I was shocked on my upcoming billing statements that m... read more

Dr. Donald L. Having a sustainable source for my energy needs--wind--is stepping toward fossil fuel elimination. Inspire performs at a competitive price point, an added plus to their creative and innovative service.

The guy that signed me up assured me that my bill wouldn't go up at all. I asked several times and he said that the only difference on my bill is that it'll include the Inspire logo. I got my first bill after signing up and they charged me an additional 7.99 cents/KWH on top of what my electric company charges (5.2 cents/KWH). If I would've had Inspire the entire month, my bill would've been around 408 instead of the usual 160. I'm glad I signed up late in the billing period, so the additional charge isn't that high. The ONL... read more

Hey Joshua - Thank you for reaching out with this feedback! When you sign up for Inspire (or any energy supplier) we take over the supply portion of your bill. The Inspire charge for supply is not in addition to your supply that you previously paid to your utility, Inspire instead takes that part over. You still have your utility who handles the delivery portion of your bill. Simply to say, Inspire is not an additional charge! We can confirm that your Inspire account was cancelled, and do hope you'll consider clean power thr... read more
(Not a customer.) We had a door-to-door sales rep from this company come to the door. The sales rep implied that they were working for BGE, going door-to-door to take care of people who hadn't responded to a query that BGE sent out. I can't say for certain that the sales rep lied, but he absolutely misled on purpose. He only identified his purpose as ensuring that we had seen/responded to a BGE communication. He never mentioned that he was trying to get us to switch to using Inspire for our electrical source. This is not an ... read more
