Beautiful venue ~~ TERRIBLE FOOD!! – This is a beautiful venue that we used for a wedding reception. Staff were very helpful and great to work with, but the food was terrible! The wedding cake was included in our per-person price ~~ it was dry and everything we wanted for decorations were not included, so we got a plain white cake that we had to add our own flowers to. The food catered by the staff was bland and horrible. There was certainly not enough food for the size of our event, and the meat sauce had no meat for our pa... read more
Wonderful stay! – An absolutely beautiful place, and the breakfast was incredible!
A true GEM near Nashville – Extended Family Vacation We enjoyed a week at the Inn at Walking Horse Farm. The breakfasts were wonderful and very filling. Three siblings, a niece, and spouses were treated to a beautiful setting in the "hills" of Tennessee. It is a short 20 miles from many of the Nashville spots, and Franklin itself has much to offer. The accommodations were "just right", and our hosts were attentive but unobtrusive. Our week went by way to quickly...and we all felt we had made new friends of our hosts when we ... read more
Our Wedding – We just had our wedding at Inn at the Walking Horse Farm and are very pleased with their service and professionalism. The premises: perfectly maintained and beautiful setting. A plantation style home with a beautiful view and excellent location. Both the outside and inside areas were perfect for our wedding. Sherri and Dwight were able quickly make adjustments to cellebrate our wedding indoors due to severe weather. It turned out to be perfect. Catering: Food was delicious and presentation was perfect. I heard ... read more
The Inn was Perfect!!! – The Inn at Walking Horse Farm was fantastic in so many ways! We found the Inn online looking for a wedding venue to hold my wedding. My mother and I went out to the Inn and met with Sherry and Dwight, the proprieters. They were incredibly gracious, funny and easy to get along with. We loved driving up the driveway and seeing the horses grazing on either side of the fence as well as the spectacular views of the surrounding hills and countryside. We decided to book the Inn and continue planning the wed... read more
Great Southern Hospitality! – I would asdvise anyone who wants to just getaway to stay at this bed and breakfast. The house and property are picture perfect. The owners were extremely accomodatinng and very friendly. The breakfast food was delicious and I looked forward to it every morning of my stay. Dwight and Sherry are one of a kind people I enjoyed my time there greatly. I would also recommend this Bed and Breakfast to anyone planning a wedding, meeting etc. You won't be disappointed! Thanks Michelle H.
Very accomodating! – After reading both of the reviews, we decided to go ahead and stay at this bed and breakfast. First, I can't even begin to understand where the person who gave a bad review could give such a horrible one. It was unfortunate that they over booked, but these people were very accomodating and I'm sure did whatever they could to make it right. They wen't above and beyond to make us feel at home and to tell us where to go while we were in Franklin. We have stayed at several bed and breakfast and this was the ... read more
AWESOME EXPERIENCE – I had the opportunity to spend 5 nights at the Inn at Walking Horse Farm in July 2007 with my husband. We were there for job interviews and to purchase a home. The owners of the Walking Horse were extremely helpful and very friendly. The breakfasts they served every morning where absolutely fabulous and we look forward to vising them again. The grounds and accommodations were first class and very clean and orderly. Our stay was very comfortable and relaxing and I would recommend it to anyone.
Absolutely Unacceptable – The Inn at Walking Horse Farm is a dishonorable business. If you are planning a wedding, I would look elsewhere. Our experience with them was terrible. We booked our wedding date, paid a deposit and worked out a contract, only to have them call us two weeks later (after we had already informed friends and family of our date) to tell us that they had "accidentally" double-booked the date and that we would have to reschedule. As a result, our plans were ruined, we were unable to find another acceptabl... read more
