A site soaked in history, the square is peppered with several vintage brick and stone structures, including the Levy Opera House, the city hall and the Eagle Tavern. Also within the square is the former slave block, an eerie site which was once used to auction slaves. Owing to its historical significance, numerous walking tours and historic are conducted at this location.

What an amazing place to stay! I was so comfortable I felt like I was at home. Great location. Walking distance to many restaurants.

Our home away from home. We stay here often. It is one our most favorite B&B's. Candance, the owner, and her staff are truly the best. The rooms are lovely and well appointed with comfortable seating in the room and very comfortable beds. The breakfast is delicious. Don't miss this Inn. Makes Charlottesville that much more fun!

What a treat. I stayed the night in the Brewton suite which is so well appointed, they thought of every little detail, down to the decorative tissue box. The bed was so comfortable with white clean crisp sheets ...I slept like a baby. I'm going back for Valentines Day.
