Fantastic Food at a Fantastic Value! – We've eaten at Indigo several times, and have always been overwhelmed by the delicious dishes. Their killer "ULTIMATE WINE DINNER" ($49, 3 courses + all the wine you can drink!) is San Fran's best food value - bar none! We recently attended our first "event" at Indigo as well (the rosé dinner), and I have to say that we can't wait for the next one! Each course was perfectly paired to each different rosé, and each of the winery reps were very entertaining and very friendly and outgoing. ... read more

User review by mswilafred – My husband and I recently dined here for the first time and overall had a pleasant experience. We were able to get a parking spot right in front of the restaurant, and were seated right away. The restaurant was relatively crowded, and there was a large, rowdy group seated behind us. On a quieter night I would consider this to be a good date spot. The food was quite tasty, but we seemed to wait for an eternity before it arrived. Overall the service was good and I would eat there again.

Definitely a good deal but,... – Went on a Friday with a large group of firends. The place was pretty empty. About half ordered the Ultimate Wine Dinner. With so many of us the staff brought out two bottles at a time. This dinner special is definitely worth the trip. Even more so, if there is a wine offered that you enjoy. The food was just mediocre. However, I attribute much of that to being in such a large group. The staff from the maitre'd, bartender, wait staff, and busboys were outstanding. All helpful, curtious, and ni... read more

Great place for a surprise party – Indigo gave us their backroom for a surprise party for my wife's birthday. We used a fixed price menu with what seemed like unlimited wine. It turned out to be an excellent value. The event could not have gone better. The food was unbelievable, the service was fabulous and the manager was extremely helpful in planning the event. The event went off without a hitch.

A delightful experience – My husband and I enjoyed our experience at Indigo. We indulged in the Ultimate wine dinner and thought we would be dissappointed somehow, either with the food or wine selections. Much to our surprise, the portions for the entrees and appetizer were good sized and the dessert was delectable. I too had the ahi tuna appetizer like the reveiwer before me, and yes it is a bit on the small side, but I don't ever remember getting a large portion of seared ahi tuna at most other resturants either as an appet... read more

When my boyfriend and I arrived on time at 8pm for our reservations, our hostess asked that we wait a few minutes while our table was set up. In the entire restuarant - there were only a handful of tables occupied. We were then seated close to a table for a party of 15+. We had to scream at each other in order to have a conversation over the mediocre appetizer of ahi tuna (do not order this app). The sirloin steak was fatty and lacked flavor, my seafood salad was bitter! What a dissapointment.

Prompt and courteous service – My friend and I arrived late for our reservation after a few calls from a packed (and stormy) Hwy 280. We were promptly seated and taken care of in time for our 8pm Ballet performance. Very gracious. Service was professional and friendly and the food was excellent. Recommended!

A "Value"-able Experience! – Recently tried out Indigo and came away with a great overall experience. Food was not too fussy and very flavorful. Servers were really friendly and helpful. There were also tons of wines to select from! I think compared to other SF spots that you pay the same or more, I would go back to Indigo first!

When will Indigo completely go under?!! – The last time I went to Indigo I was approached by a server who gruffly asked if I had a reservation. I looked around the restaurant and noticed that there were only two people in the entire place. I did have a reservation but the server stormed away and said that I would need to wait a few minutes. As I sat at the bar I noticed that all of the staff had the same dismal attitude. (I always think this is a sign of the management.) Once I was seated and served my entree (forgettable wh... read more
