Nice restaurant and service, reasonable prices, generous portions – It's better to be seated in the front room, the smaller back room has a mildewy odor. The service is attentive, but strangely, each time the wait person would come by to fill our water glasses, he would fill the same glass of one person even though all the glasses could use a little more water. The tuna tartare was very good, especially the tangy cilantro-lime aioli served with it. There was plenty of tuna for the taro crisps served with it. The corn soup wa... read more

All you can drink wine...What could be better? – I normally don't write reviews, but I had such a wonderful experience here, I just have to share. I first heard of this place from a friend's recommendation, then I went and searched the net for reviews and all reviews were pointing to great. So I decided to book a reservation and ever since that dinner, I've haven't been able to stop thinking about how fabulous this restaurant was. My boyfriend and I did the prix fixe wine dinner, which was $49 per person and you each get an ... read more

Good dinner, but wouldnt go out of my way to eat here again – Went for a romantic dinner with my boyfriend. Good wine selection, service was good and friendly, food was average. Nothing wow-ed me though. Tables were a little to close together, and my boyfriend couldn't get over how dirty the front windows looked! He wanted to wipe them down himself! Good meal, but not the romantic intimate dinner I invisioned.

Rudest waitstaff I've experienced in a while – I heard fabulous things about Indigo, so I picked it for my birthday dinner with 10 friends. Initially I was very impressed - they had set up two different tables, one up front near all the action and one in a private room in the back that was more personal. I picked the back room and apparently the back room waitstaff. The waitress was rude and ignored our group for most of the night; she only came back enough to take one drink order and *much* later our food order. She didn't ... read more

Really Good Dinner – My boyfriend and I have season tickets to the Opera, but we're young and always looking for a good and fun place to have dinner (before the Opera and any ol' night). I found Indigo because of the Dine Out special, but we both ended up ordering off the menu. I thought the prices were really reasonable (Opera tickets are expensive enough!) and the food was great! It's the kind of restaurant I've been looking for since I moved back to San Francisco- good food, down to earth, reasonable- actual casual, fine ... read more

Nice Ambience and Good Service – This was my second time to Indigo. It's a solid restaurant with friendly service and a comfortable ambience. The food is good, but certainly not great. The menu is small; there are about 5 or six standard entrees - chicken, beef, pork, pasta, salmon. Nothing special. The wine list is extensive but a bit pricey. Jade Bar next door is a nice bonus for an after dinner drink.

Hayes Valley standard serves up organic eats and California wines to pre-theater diners. – In Short This neighborhood standby was one of the first buzz-worthy Hayes Valley restaurants back before the neighborhood was a destination, and the slick blue-hued restaurant continues to win praise and awards for its seamless service and food--simple California cuisine with a focus on quality organic ingredients. The restaurant prides itself on its extensive wine list, and hosts regular vino-themed dinners in its newly opened wine ce... read more

Fun FUn place – SO this place is way fun and has some great food to accompany it. We did the ultimate wine dinner for 50 bucks a person and it was a great choice. All the wine u want and enough food to go around. Definitely a cool place, somewhat romantic. It was slow on wednesday night so my gf and I shared the place with just 8 other people. Nice cause we werent feeling rushed for the two hours we were there.

Evening at the Symphony – A great pre-symphony dining choice. Service was excellent and very conscious of the performance deadline. The extensive selection of wine in half bottles makes for an excellent value and opportunity to try a variety of wines with a small group.
