In the years I have been here in Vero Beach, I have heard some negative things about the Indian River Medical Center. I don't pay much attention to personal anecdotes as a source of information. That being said, I must say the treatment I got there was superlative. Obviously the heart catheterization was "just in time" for me, and it was performed without a hitch. Thank you so much to the IRMC Emergency Room Staff! Yesterday was my first time to ever be a patient in the ER and I was taken care of quickly and professionally. The doctors and nurses that took care of me were kind and understanding, and made the whole experience a lot more pleasant. Although, my problem was only to remove a fish hook lodged in my finger, they left me with minimal pain, made me laugh, and got me out of there in just under 2 hours. I am so grateful to them all!
I used to live very close to lawnwood and always had good experiences. When I moved to Vero Beach, at the beginning of the year, my daughter got sick. I expected the hospital to be great and was excited about living close to yet another really good hospital. I got to the hospital with my 5 month old, at the time, and we sat in the waiting room for 4 hours before we were seen. These TWO will run up funds at IRMC JUST in their pay And bonuses alone. Shameful, liars and cheats. How does the hospital district continue to allow the lies to continue? Who can fire them? Just do your job!
I want to thank everyone for the great treatment they gave my husband in the ER and on the second floor. I'm very greatful for what everyone did. Nina Miller made sure he got the best care. Love ya Nina. Wish we had a hospital like this in Winter Haven. 10 star in my book. Thanks again IRMC
I have been searching for a phone number to file a complaint. Can't find it. I can easily find your foundation and billing numbers though. My dad is in your hospital right now and receiving TERRIBLE care. No wonder the Internet is polluted with articles and cases about the horrible way you care for patients.

I will never step foot in this hospital again! I went to the ER with severe stomach pain. After waiting in the waiting room for 5 hours, I was finally taken back. They did an ultra sound, said my gall bladder was a little swollen. Sent me home with ibuprofen and told me to come back if it got worse. Came back the next day, due to it being way worse.
