Took my stepdaughter to your ER for her ankle b to be xrayed because her Mom is a nurse with your hospital and we were told she had to go there for the insurance coverage. Your xray or Dr failed to detect a hairline fracture that the mother later informed us her pediatrician found. Bad call cause we were told no breaks just soft tissue injury. Not happy with you.
Indian river medical center is the worst hospital I ever been to. If you not having a heart attack or a stroke no ones will give a damn about you. I been there multiple times, I never walk out glad. They took so long before they will bring you to the back and when you walk to the back RN every ones having loud conversation, while you seat in the back in so much pain, no ones come to ask you how you doing? They more concern about getting you register than to give you a pain pill in the mean while or a bag of ice/ hot.
Some of the nursing staff is just flat out rude especially the ER nurse Barbara

Wonderful place to work for and exceptional patient care
Horrible ER, Horrible staff. I had an allergic reaction with welts and my face was swelling. I was put in a room in the ER while the nurse was outside my room flirting with the police on duty. I went out and told her I was having an Emergency and she told me to stop yelling at her and get back into my room. Me and my mom got my things and she drove me to Sebastian where I was only getting 68% of my air due to the swelling. Pretty bad when your patients will risk dying and leave to go to a better hospital. Then they had the n... read more

Tried to contact hospital about terrible lack of cardiac care this past Sunday morning 2-22-2015 at 3 a.m. on the 3rd floor Cardiac Care area via Contact link on their website. This is the message I received: Failed to send your message. Please try later or contact the administrator by another method.
Callous, slow, 4.5 hours in emergency, still not seen. Understaffed, unprofessional, dirty. Sebastian medical center offers 30 minutes or less. They just don't understand what it takes or how to staff appropriately. I would only go there to die, because that is all the service you will get.
