I had a great appt with Dr. Iqbal today and I don't understand why people are giving the poor reviews that show here. He was personable and we joked a bit. He seems very knowledgeable- we didn't spend too much time together because I spent a large part of my visit with the nurse practitioner (which is fine by me!) And she filled him in on everything pertinent. Maybe people don't like the fact that he's direct but I would prefer a doctor that is a straight shooter and tells me like it is.
Dr. Iqbal is a excellent doctor, he is very caring.
Dr. Iqbal is a brilliant man. He is so kind and patient . I appreciate being one of his patients. I would highly recommend him.
There has been a huge turnover in staff in his office which made for some confusing office visits for a while. The doctor does not listen to you at all! I made an appointment for one thing, he dismissed it, and then tried to give me an injection for something that was not bothering me. I told him that was not why I was there & he walked out of the room. My advice is to find a different rheumatologist.
I work in the medical field so I do have my fair share of dealing with hard headed doctors but he was very rude and not compassionate at all. He made me feel as if I was wasting his time. Any time I answered a question he looked at me like I was dumb. He also asked me a question that had nothing to do with my medical care whatsoever and then took it back and told me not to answer it. He did not seem concerned and seemed to dismiss my symptoms. I don't think I will be returning to his office.
Its sad that this doctor is part of UT Southwestern which means he's suppose to be top notch. well he's an awful doctor not compassionate at all with his patients he will spend 1 minute with you write your scripts and off u are.. The nurse practitioner was much more informative than Igbal. He's not my type of doctor. The illness I'm dealing with is to serious to be dealing with him!!
My experience has been nothing outside of confusing and a waste of time/mone . He is not compassionate, but outside of that he is confusing when it comes to what is going on. I do not feel he has taken in account my medical history along with labwork he ordered himself and recent labs to properly diagnose me. Instead he keeps writing new prescriptions and follow up appt. What a waste! I will be switching doctors.
