About this business
While a tinello is generally thought of as a little dining room in Italy, this one is rather large, that pleases the crowd of older patrons who come here for excellent classic Northern Italian food without having to wait for a table. Seafood, pastas, veal and chicken dishes are all excellent; however, many patrons simply dispense with the menu and order what they want. This normally not much of a problem for the gracious staff. Jacket and tie are required at Il Tinello.

Last night I was at Il Tinello Ristorante with a group of 12 people and we had a fantastic evening. Food was out of this world and service was very attentive and professional. The owner Mr. Goci was extremely kind as always. We will definitely be going back.
Please patronize this great place- stuck in the hell of 56th street. Amazing food and wonderful staff
All around great experience. Each course was better than the last-- I recommend the veal chop to anyone having a hard time choosing what to order! And the Cesar salad dressing was phenomenal. As for the service, John and his staff were very attentive and friendly. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for 5 star dining downtown.
My favorite new place in the city. Great location, friendly staff, and delicious food. Definitely coming here again for dinner!
