We really enjoyed our meal at this place. Staff was very friendly. We were seated quickly without a reservation and our meals were great.

Good pizza, good apps and the Baseltini was awesome!
I ordered paccheri. Sauce was good, ragù (bolognese and not napoletano). Pasta was al dente, nice, you don't see that often. Just they were not paccheri, somewhat similar to, but not real paccheri, so U was dissppointed.
Mortadella e mozzarella di bufala sul tagliere sono state una vera sorpresa per non parlare della burrata sulla pizza...ottima! A real slice of Italy!

So, to start out with, we walked in and immediately felt like we were in Italy, though we have not been there. Very few people for a Monday around dinner time. We got seated immediately and waited on just as quickly. We barely ordered our food and it came. I had the margerita pizza and it was TO DIE FOR. The mozzarella was so melty and delicious. The tomato sauce was just the perfect blend of spice and sweet. I also had the hazelnut gelato which was melt in your mouth smooth. Just a wonderful experience.
Without hesitation the best Gnocchi dish I have ever experienced. Ambience was perfect and the staff super friendly and very attentive. Has to be the best Italian restaurant in DC. I would have given ten stars, but only allowed to give five.
