don't believe the hype the previous poster is spot on. Don't believe the reviews suggesting a 5 star experience. They are probably all written by paid employees to lure you into one of the Ikea stores. The product is alright for the price but beware if something goes wrong. Ikea's policies are designed to make it very difficult for you to get your money back. Anybody suggesting otherwise is either paid to lie or simply a fool.

IKEA - Good deal until something goes wrong and it almost always does Funny, there seem to be a lot of disgrunteled IKEA shoppers out there. I too am a professional designer and on occasion shop at IKEA. After all they have cheap product and not everybody can or wants to afford expensive stuff. One of the problems with IKEA is that they never get their orders right. I have bought all kinds of furniture for entire rooms over the years and have yet to come accross a purchase that wasn't messed up. The devil is in the details a... read more

Burbank Ikea, too cheap for customer service Ever bought furniture at ikea? I have. It's cheap alright. Ever tried returning a defective piece? I realize that the only way they can maintain these cheap prices is by cutting their workforce and having the returns department manager pretend to be the customer service lead. I bought a bed for my son. After assembling it carefully following the detailed instructions, I realized that the veneer came off pretty much everywhere I touched it. I took it back to the Burbank store and w... read more

Fun to shop-til-you drop! Ikea is the Bay Area's second best shop-til-you-drop store next to Target. Although Target has much more as a store in general, this Ikea has more floors than any Target,so there's plenty of stuff to do all day. They carry all the latest Modern Swedish Design assemble-it-yourself furniture, along with other home products and toys. Products come from countries such as Sweden,Finland,Germany,Holland,China,Thailand,Taiwan, and Malaysia.

Beware of the rude, racist balloon-twisting guy in the store! My toddler son was naturally bored at the store so I was happy to see that there was this guy doing balloon twisting/face painting (hired by IKEA) for kids. I stood in line and noticed how nice he was to the people ahead of me (who are Caucasian)- he asked them questions, talked about his own family, and was very attentive to the kids. He even created special balloon designs for them (he spent 10 min. on them alone). Then, BOOM! It was my turn. I smiled and asked ... read more

After all, It's IKEA! Yes, the parking is a pain, but on the upside you can park one place and go to Ikea, Macy's, Barnes & Noble, Steve &Barry's, CPK, etc. etc. Ikea is Ikea-- are you going to not shop at the Burbank Ikea and drive hours out of your way to go to another one because parking isn't spectacular and the service isn't that of The Beverly Hills Hotel?! I'm not. I will say though, last time I was there an alarm went off, and continued to go off, and everyone was going about business as usual. That's fine and all bu... read more

Organization This place rocks when it comes to organization. It has everything you want for your home from a pillow for the bedroom, to a cushion for your sofa. I like how they have displayed their model rooms. They have brilliantly fit everything in a room, even the smallest room and still make them look beautiful. Great store to pick up beautiful ideas. They have some good quality rugs at cheap prices. This is also the place to buy good quality stainless steel cutlery. They even have separate packaging of teaspoons, forks ... read more

You're guaranteed to find something here! If you've never been to IKEA before, it is quite an experience. It is HUGE and you could easily get lost in there. Whether you have a specific item in mind or you're just going to browse, you could easily spend a few hours walking through the whole store. I think that one of the reasons that it is so appealing is that they offer a wide variety of furniture at very affordable prices and there truly is something for everyone. A definite plus is that they have a number of rooms (living ... read more
