One of their reps pressured my elderly mother into signing up for their energy savings program, saying she would only pay $22/month for energy, which I know is an all-out lie, no one charges that little for electricity and gas on a single family ranch house.Then, asked her for payment on the spot, and when her credit card didn't work, he asked her for checking account information.Sadly, since she was alone, she handed over her checkbook so he could get the routing number, and then took her entire checkbook with him! When we signed up was told one year. Changed suppliers after two years. Now they are saying I had a three year contact and because they have my signature they are charging me a termination fee. Their explanation was they had some bad apples working for them at the time we signed up. So now we are getting punished for something some else did.

I am so sick of these people I could scream ! they just keep coming to the door and I have a sign on there that says no solicitation of any kind!!!! they keep trying to sell their IGS Energy saying oh well someone signed you up for another electric company and I tell them not to come back but they just keep coming back!! I have a daughter who has a traumatic brain injury and is bedridden and I had to actually stop in the middle of doing her feeding tube to tell them to not come back!! it's absolutely ridiculous there like a ... read more

A young woman arrived at my house asking to look at my electric and gas bill, under the ruse that she was there to make sure that everything was "alright". After confirming that I was in the customer choice program, which I found out later, she proceeded to say that someone had switched us away from their service and that she was there to get us signed back up. An IGS rep with a hat who "left his business cards in his car" arrived at our door, and informed my mother that we were 2 months past due, and that electric and gas were going to be cut off in 3 days. He then proceeded to try to sell plans. ****was acquired by IGS, however that information never appeared on a bill or in a ****side mailing after the acquisition. Instead, IGS sent their own branded letters - the issue is it needs to be indicated on the bill itself, because that's authoritative. Random people send mailings that... read more

We have found out that our current electric bill's are $35. to $45 dollars MORE per month than had we just stayed with First Energy. Needless to say we are going to cancel our Igs contract, pay their cancellation fee, which will be paid back in 3 months. We fell for their door-to-door sales rep who certainly fooled us!

I signed up only after I asked a very specific question about something that would be covered under their company. When the representative said "oh yes that is something covered", I proceeded to sign up. Went to make a claim and discovered that it was not covered. Since I was taking the word of the representative, I am now out of luck and without hesitation canceled immediately. Spoke to many managers who were unwilling to make amends in any way. Be very wary! Pressure tactics that are misleading...

Stay AWAY! We currently have them as our supplier & they continue to HARASS us through phone calls & visits to our home. They will call you on different numbers so you don't know it's them, I block the number & they call on a different number. Today we had a man come to our house. We politely told him we did not have time to talk with him. The man kept insisting & kept coming closer to our house.
