Elizabeth from IGK ruined my hair. I had been hair oiling, taking supplements, and it finally took me about a year to regrow my hair after the hair loss caused by bleaching. I came in with thick, healthy hair just for a trim. Despite showing her a photo of a blunt haircut with very soft face-framing layers, she thinned out all of my ends, leaving me with thin hair and uneven lengths throughout. I've never had a worse haircut in my life. I am so sad. Do not book this girl—she doesn't know how to cut hair.
I went to IGK about a year ago (I’ve since moved), but I’m still getting text messages from them, so I thought it was a good time to share my experience. While I’m grateful they were able to fix my hair after I fried it with Sun-In and gave me a beautiful color that I genuinely loved, I would never go back even if I still lived in Miami. I’ve come here now a few times for either a cut or a standard blow dry. I’m always very happy with the results with my hair and my hair stylists have always been professional and good at their work. However the people at the front desk could be more friendly to clients coming in.
I truly cannot recommend Mykel enough!! I am SO picky when it comes to my hair (honestly with any service I get done ) and I’ve been coloring my hair for as long as I can remember and she is hands down the best. Mykel is a true artist.
